Today I needed to go hard for about two hours. My legs were tired so I just did 1 hour hard. At least that's how long the race was at Hinckley today. In the start of the break John, Hank, Jim, Jimmy and I rode hard together. Then Jimmy's skewer popped open and he had to get off the bike and fix it. Then there were 3 Jim C., Jimmy and I. They did most of the work today and I felt like I shouldn't push to hard if my body telling me other wise. Those guys had some hard attacks and Jimmy really took off twice in the last 3 miles. I prayed no one would attack up the hill. We slowed down at the top then Jimmy took off again and it took everything I had to nick him at the line.
I found out about this very special women, Toni Hobbs. She has Lyme Disease, and is taking one day at a time. Lyme Disease has changed her life, and for all Lyme victims it is always for the worst.
